"Dear Mr. Tiseng,

I have received yours of 2nd December and was sorry to hear that the MSS is a desideratum.

As regards the 500 francs asked for the Oran MSS the sum is certainly exaggerated unless it be a very fine and perfect copy of a new historical celebrity. I trust to your kindness that you will kindly continue your exertions in my favour.

As regard to the 2 oposcules I take one and return to you the other which has been in my library for some by (by Postrepistero) I hope soon to be in Paris, then to pay my debt in person unless you prefer my sending it over now.

Yours very truly
